Response of globe amaranth (Gomphrena globosa L.) to pinching and biofertilizer application

The present study on Response of Globe amaranth (Gomphrena globosa L.) to pinching and biofertilizer application was conducted at SKUAST-K, Shalimar Campus, J&K during the year 2018. experiment laid out in Split Plot Design with three replications. Pinching as main plot treatment comprising two levels P0 (No pinching) P1 (Pinching) along biofertlizers sub-plot eight different B0 biofertilizer), B1 (Azotobacter), B2 (Phosphate solubilising bacteria), B3 (Potassium B4 (Azotobacter + PSB), B5 KSB), B6 (PSB KSB) B7 PSB a total 16 combinations. results revealed that recorded maximum plant spread (50.36 cm), number leaves plant-1 (309.49), LAI (6.83), primary secondary branches (3.58 11.08 respectively), stem diameter (1.93 flowers (116.14), whereas height (68.23 cm) harvest, individual leaf area (27.08 cm2), minimum days taken flower bud appearance 50% flowering (29.62 43.21 days), respectively under Pinching). Among biofertilizers (65.04 (52.19 plant-1(304.81), (28.44 (7.77), (3.42 11.72), (32.54 46.31 days) (122.21). Interaction effect found beneficial improving vegetative characters yield.
